Why do my gums bleed?

Read below to learn why gum health is so important.

Not flossing because it makes your gums bleed?

This might seem like the right thing to do, but it is actually making the problem worse! Your gums and jaw bone are just as important as the teeth that they support…kind of like the foundations of a house 🏠

Healthy gums do not usually bleed, so if this is happening, the first step is to visit your friendly dentist or hygienist so that they can do a thorough assessment of your gum health and find the cause.

This will help determine what steps need to be taken to improve your gum health.

Treatment may be as simple as a dental clean and tweaking you oral hygiene routine, but if more complex treatment is needed, it best to start ASAP to prevent continued deterioration of the gums.
